André is the first recipient of the Jan Rabie and Marjorie Wallace Grant which was awarded to him today at a ceremony at UWC for the completion of a novel, provisionally entitled Philida.
Prof Steward Van Wyk and the authors Chris Barnard and EKM Dido made up the jury who judged the ninety-two entries.
